Publicly releasing music is a very vulnerable thing for someone who is acutely aware that he isn’t all that talented at making music. But making music is a really fun thing to do, and once you’ve made it, it’s not super interesting to keep it to yourself. I continue to believe that everyone can and should make art, and that even though it’s always incredibly hard to show that art to someone, we should. People will continue to question why I put this stuff out there. It’s not because I think it’s the best new music (though I do like it) or because I’m deluded into thinking that I will make money or get famous off it. I put stuff like this out there to demonstrate that I think people should put stuff like this out there.

This is Float Day, an EP full of heavy things that I hope serves as an invitation to find any small thing you can to help keep yourself afloat.
